Bus routes and timetables to change
- Published
Routes and timetables will change for some buses in Somerset from Sunday.
Buses of Somerset are adding stops to some routes as part of a twice-yearly network review.
The main changes will affect bus services 25, 28 and 7 in Taunton.
James Eustace, commercial director for Buses of Somerset, said: “Following the wider changes that were made in April, September’s network changes are more minor."
In response to customer demand, the 25 service will now have its connection to Milverton reinstated.
On the 28 route, an additional Saturday afternoon journey will be reinstated, to help shoppers and visitors from Taunton to Minehead.
The number 7 service from Taunton to Galmington has been extended to serve Taunton station, with timings aligned with connecting rail services.
Customer feedback 'welcome'
Meanwhile, the 54 trial route to Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum has been extended to January 2025.
Mr Eustace added: "We worked closely with local bus users groups and the council, and the result is an extension to the 7 service, as well as reinstating journeys on the 25 and 28 to improve things for our passengers.
“We’re always reviewing our network, and as we’re already starting to plan for next year’s changes, we welcome customer feedback on what they’d like to see next.”
