A cemetery in Warwickshire is now at full capacity for burials, with grieving families being guided to alternative cemeteries in the borough.

All of the remaining grave spaces at Oaston Road Cemetery in Nuneaton have now been allocated, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said.

The authority said the borough offered alternative burial sites to serve community needs, such as the council-managed Marston Lane Cemetery in Bedworth, which still has available plots.

However, cremation plots remain available at Oaston Road Cemetery.

Councillor Tim Jenkins said: "While Oaston Road Cemetery is approaching its capacity, we want to reassure our residents that there is alternative burial space available within the borough at Marston Lane Cemetery in Bedworth.

"All cemeteries in the borough offer dignified resting places for loved ones.

"We encourage families and funeral directors to consider this should the need sadly arise."
