The teenager was raped at Nuneaton Railway Station, detectives have said

Detectives have launched an investigation after a teenage girl was raped in the toilet of a train station.

Warwickshire Police said the incident happened at about 17:50 GMT on Sunday at Nuneaton Railway Station.

The force said the girl and a suspect had been to at least one pub in the town and to Riversley Park earlier that same afternoon.

Detectives are now reviewing CCTV footage of the station and other locations in Nuneaton.

Det Insp Owen Fell said: "This is an extremely concerning incident and we've launched a thorough enquiry."
