Murder charge after man stabbed at student flats

A man has been charged with murder after a person died at an accommodation block for students and professionals.

Emergency services were called to reports of a man with a stab wound at Somerleyton House in Somerleyton Street, Norwich, at about 05:20 GMT on Saturday.

Norfolk Police said a man in his 30s had been pronounced dead at the scene and a 27-year-old had been arrested. A post-mortem examination indicated the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.

Benjamin Katabana, of Somerleyton Street, who police said was a Congolese national, has been charged with murder. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court on Monday.
