Rail passengers were warned of delays and cancellations after a suspected unexploded bomb was found near a line in east Leeds.
National Rail said the "unexploded wartime bomb" was found in the Cross Gates area.
It said lines between Leeds and Micklefield had been closed as a result, prompting delays and cancellations on services between Leeds, York and Selby.
The lines reopened at about 20:30 BST but passengers were told to expect continued delays and disruption until the end of the day.
