Fourth man charged over Hackney fatal stabbing

A fourth person has been charged with the murder of a 20-year-old man who was stabbed to death in east London.

Jason Romeo was attacked outside an address on Bodney Road in Lower Clapton, Hackney, on 18 February just before 18:00 GMT, the Metropolitan Police said.

Renaldo Roberts, 25, of Hobbs Place Estate, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with murder. He was arrested on Tuesday.

Three other men have been charged with Mr Romeo's murder.

Raynolph Asante, 22, and Travis Mitchell, 21, both from Hackney, and Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21, from Walthamstow, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 3 November.

The Met has also arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder on Wednesday and remains in custody.

Another 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday has been bailed pending further inquiries, the force added.

Inquiries remain ongoing.
