Woman injured in collision outside school gates

Bedfordshire Police said it was called to a road traffic collision outside Icknield High School on Wednesday

A woman has been left with serious injuries after a road traffic collision close to the gates of a high school.

Bedfordshire Police said it was called to Icknield High School in Luton at 08:10 GMT to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious and possibly life-changing injuries, the force confirmed.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to get in touch and asked people not to speculate on the circumstances of the incident.
