Police investigation after man stabbed in town

Police have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in a Nottinghamshire town.
The emergency services were called to Chapel Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, at 17:00 BST on 20 April.
A 44 year-old man was attacked by two suspects and sustained injuries to his arms and shoulder, according to Nottinghamshire Police.
Officers said the victim was taken to hospital and was later discharged.
Det Con Bethany Sumner, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are treating this as an isolated incident, and we are working hard to trace those responsible for this attack.
“As part of our ongoing inquiries we’re keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, any pedestrians who were in the area at the time and may have information, and any passing motorists who may have recorded dashcam footage capturing the incident."
