A company which supplies car parts is set to open a national distribution centre near Wolverhampton.

GSF Car Parts is moving into a near 500,000 sq ft warehouse on Gravelly Way, Four Ashes, near the A5 in Staffordshire.

The firm has declined to disclose what the move is costing, but said having a central site will mean the majority of its stock can be delivered overnight to its branches.

GSF has around 185 branches across the country and employs about 3,000 people.

The company currently depends on deliveries direct from suppliers, and said having its own central base will be much more efficient.

GSF had needed a national distribution centre for a very long time, but had never quite been able to make the leap, said CEO Steve Horne.

"When the opportunity arose to acquire this superb facility, in a perfect central location, we jumped at it immediately," he added.

The company is set to start operating from the site later in 2024.
