Drivers faced long delays on the M6 in Warwickshire on Thursday after a lorry overturned.
It happened between junction 4A for the M42, near Water Orton, and junction four for Coleshill, and left two lanes closed southbound.
Fire crews had to cut the lorry driver free as four-mile tailbacks built up past junction five.
National Highways said the scene had been cleared by about 14:00 BST with all lanes reopened and traffic soon flowing well.

There were long queues in the area on Thursday morning
