An abuser who shared videos of himself raping and sexually assaulting a young boy has been jailed.

Aiden-Jay Foster, 22, of Bassett Road, Wednesbury, made a series of child sexual abuse videos which he then shared on social media.

On Wednesday he was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court to 11 years and seven months in prison.

He had previously pleaded guilty to 24 offences, including the rape of a child under 13.

Foster's electronic devices were seized by investigators, who raided his property on 6 May and worked with US law enforcement agencies to convict him.

Analysts matched items at his address to those shown in the rape footage which included jewellery, boxing trophies and a distinctively patterned blanket, the National Crime Agency said.

NCA officers also recovered 771 indecent images of children from four of his devices.

The pictures were said to include those in the most severe category.

Investigators also discovered an Instagram chat in which Foster requested images of a 14-year-old and boasted he could send videos of someone carrying out a sex act on him.

Children safeguarded after 'horrific' abuse

NCA operations manager Holly Triggs said Foster conducted "the most horrific" abuse against children, who were now being safeguarded.

"Chat logs showed he revelled in the ability to share material online – an act that will no doubt have contributed to the normalisation of such abuse among other paedophiles," Ms Triggs said.

The 24 offences included the rape of a child, sexual assault of a child and taking, making and distributing indecent photos of children.

Foster will spend four years on licence after his sentence and will be the subject of a sexual harm prevention order.

He will also remain on the sex offenders' register for the rest of his life.
