Road closures in place for Scunthorpe 10k

The Big Green Scunthorpe 10k takes place on Sunday

A series of road closures will be in place on Sunday for the Big Green Scunthorpe 10k.

The race starts at 11:00 BST in Central Park.

It’s the second year the event has taken place and this year 900 runners are expected to take part.

Event organisers are supporting the creation of a wildflower meadow in the park alongside the parks' team at North Lincolnshire council.

It is expected that 900 runners will set off from Central Park at 11:00

Roads closures between 08:00 and 13:00 BST for the event

• Ashby Road, Scunthorpe (both directions)

• Brumby Wood Lane, Scunthorpe (both directions, rolling closure)

• Kingsway, Scunthorpe (eastbound only, rolling closure)

• Queensway, Scunthorpe (eastbound only, rolling closure)

Diversions

Scotter Road, Burringham Road, Ashby High Street, Grange Lane South, Grange Lane North, Brigg Road, Rowland Road, Ashby Road, Church Lane and reverse.
