A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after his car hit a tree.

A grey Seat Ibiza was travelling westbound along the B1230 Main Road towards Howden, near Gilberdyke in East Yorkshire, when it left the road at about 19:00 GMT on Sunday, Humberside Police said.

The 64-year-old driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are asking for anyone who has information or may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
