Police are investigating an incident at a Staffordshire prison after three masked men damaged several vehicles on the site.

Staffordshire Police were called to HMP Featherstone, near Wolverhampton, on 20 January after 12 cars in the staff car park were targeted.

Crews from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service were also called to New Road, at about 14:00 GMT, after two cars were set on fire.

A spokesman for the Prison Officers Association said the incident had upset a lot of its members.

No-one was injured during the incident, said police, who appealed to the public for more information.

Anyone with CCTV footage of the area at the time, is asked to contact the force.
