Six abandoned puppies found over several days

An animal rescue charity is looking after six abandoned puppies found over the course of a week in the same place.
The dogs were found between Thursday 8 August and Tuesday 13 August on Station Road between Welney and Ten Mile Bank, near Downham Market, Norfolk.
All the dogs were found by members of the public.
RSPCA animal rescue officer David Allen said: "The local dog wardens have set up dog traps in the area just in case there are still more out there, and we are supporting where we can."
The first puppy to be found is believed to be a Jack Russell crossbreed, between eight and 12 weeks old.
Named Rollo, he is being treated by the RSPCA Mid Norfolk & North Suffolk branch for roundworms and mites.
Another four puppies were taken to the RSPCA West Norfolk branch.
A sixth puppy, named Chickadee, was taken to the RSCPA Block Fen Animal Centre. She had virtually no fur.
The charity said it had been told an adult dog and another puppy had also been rescued from the same area and were being taken care of by a member of the public.
Mr Allen appealed for that person to make contact with the RSPCA to let the charity know how the dogs were getting on.
Mr Allen said: "It is really concerning that there has been a spate of puppies and potentially an adult dog abandoned in the same location – and it feels like it’s more than just a coincidence, which is why we believe they could be all connected.
"It could be they were all abandoned at the same time but were hiding and so that’s why they have been found on separate days."
He urged people to get in contact with vets, local rescues and animal welfare charities if they needed support with animals they could not cope with.
