Appeal after man seriously injured in lorry crash

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man was seriously hurt in a crash on a bypass.

It involved his white Toyota and a lorry on the A51 Nantwich Bypass at about 14:10 GMT on Friday.

The 35-year-old car driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, said Cheshire Police.

Anyone who saw the collision or recorded it on their dashcam was urged to contact the force.

“This incident occurred at time of day when many people will have been out and about," said Sgt Russell Sime.

"We are asking anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch with us."
