Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were seriously injured when their vehicle hit a tree on the A281 in Surrey at the weekend.

One man remains in a critical condition following the crash in the Dunsfold area at 21:40 GMT on Saturday, Surrey Police said.

Officers were called to the scene at the junction of Horsham Road and Dunsfold Road.

Police said a black Audi left the carriageway and ended up against a tree on the offside verge.

The road was closed for several hours following the incident.
