Man charged after cyclist killed in hit-and-run

A man has been charged after an 81-year-old cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Rotherham.
Graham Slinn was struck by a dark blue Volkswagen Golf on the A57 near Todwick at about 15:15 BST on 4 April and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cain Byrne, 20, of Redvers Buller Road, Chesterfield, has been rearrested and charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Monday, South Yorkshire Police said.
Mr Byrne was previously arrested alongside a 21-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. The 21-year-old has been released on police bail.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old woman has been rearrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.
A 24-year-old man previously arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders and perverting the course of justice has also been released on bail.
