A man has been killed and four others injured after a two-vehicle crash.

Emergency services were called at 20:50 GMT on Wednesday to reports of a collision involving a Nissan Pulsar and a grey Toyota Prius on the A47 at Thorney Toll, near Peterborough.

A man in his 60s, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital but died of his injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, who was a woman in her 60s, and the passenger in the Toyota, a woman in her 30s, were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and another male passenger, also in his 20s, suffered minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time with dashcam footage.
