Two arrested as woman hit by car dies

Two men have been arrested after a woman was fatally struck by a car.
Police were called to reports of two pedestrians being struck on Brassington Avenue in Sutton Coldfield shortly before 00:00 BST on Friday.
A 21-year-old died at the scene, while another woman was treated for a leg injury, which is not thought to be life-threatening.
The men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody while inquiries continue. Police said their thoughts were with the family of the killed woman and urged anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
