A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a police vehicle.

A major road in Gloucester has been partially closed following the incident in the Cole Avenue/Bristol Road area of the city.

The crash - which involved two vehicles - took place at about 15:45 BST, Gloucestershire Police said.

The force confirmed a member of the public had been taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be serious.

The incident is being referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for investigation.
