A burglary in Chippenham appears to be linked to a series of national break-ins at Co-op stores, police have said.

Three men broke into the Co-op store in Conway Road on 22 August.

They left the store at approximately 02:04 BST with three cash boxes.

PC Josh Pullin said: “Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported which appears to be part of a series of burglaries nationally where Co-op stores have been specifically targeted."

“Extensive house to house enquiries and CCTV checks have been carried out; however, we understand there may be a number of local people who have not yet been spoken to by officers," Mr Pullin added.

“If you have any information about the incident, or if you have any doorbell or CCTV footage which could assist please get in touch.”
