A family has paid tribute to a man described as a "ball of chaotic energy and love" after he was killed in a car crash.

The crash, on Common Hill, Reading, involved a blue BMW and a blue Mercedes on Monday at about 08:20 GMT.

Alex Weller, 23, the driver of the BMW, died at the scene.

In a statement, his family said he "spread laughter and fun to all that knew him" and that he would be "so sorely missed by his family, girlfriend and his many friends".

They added: "Life will feel incredibly quiet and still without him but for all who knew him, this is a reminder to live life to the full and do the things Alex will never get the opportunity to do."

Thames Valley Police said an investigation was ongoing and urged witnesses and anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
