Man dies and woman badly hurt in Aberdeenshire crash

A man has died and a woman was left badly hurt in a crash in a single car crash Aberdeenshire.
Police Scotland said an Audi A5 left the road on the A93 near Dinnet on Wednesday at about 16:40.
The 66-year-old driver died at the scene and his 62-year-old passenger was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Her condition was described as serious but stable.
Police Scotland asked any witnesses to contact them on the non emergency line, external.
Sgt Eoin Maxwell said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.”
He added: "We would like to thank the members of the public who assisted at the scene of the crash."
