Two further arrests have been made following disorder during a protest at hotel housing asylum seekers in Aldershot.

A police officer was injured when disorder broke out at a demonstration involving about 200 people outside the Potters International Hotel on 31 July.

A 19-year-old man from Ash has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, affray, burglary and stirring up racial hatred.

A 40-year-old man from Farnborough has been held on suspicion of affray and stirring up racial hatred.

It brings the number of people arrested following the incident to seven.

Five men who were previously arrested have all been bailed while further inquiries continue and a file is submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Police said they had now identified everyone they were looking to speak with in connection with the investigation.

The force is still appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV footage to come forward.
