The remains of a parcel centre that was destroyed in a huge fire will be demolised within days, the fire service said.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is still investigating the cause of the blaze at Super Smart Service on Cley Road in Cannock last week.

Crews were scaling back their presence at the scene after being in attendance over the weekend, they added.

Firefighters first attended just after 08:00 BST on Thursday.

The plume of smoke was visible for 20 miles around, including in the centre of Birmingham, as the fire raged throughout the day.

Residents were urged to close their windows and doors and nearby businesses were asked to evacuate.
