A £2.5m revamp of a leisure and retail park has started.

The eight-month project will see the outdoor public walkways, landscaping, seating and lighting overhauled at Tower Park, Poole.

During the work the shops, restaurants, water park, cinema and bowling alley will remain open.

Expected to be completed in spring 2025, the centre said the facelift aimed "to inject a new lease of life into the park".

Anne Jolliffe, Tower Park's general manager, said: "We're thrilled to be starting the refurbishment at Tower Park.

"We hope to enhance the experience for our guests by improving the outdoor environment."

When first opened in 1989, the park had a nightclub, ice rink, bowling alley, cinema, offices and shops.
