Police say body in woods was not human remains

Police said the bones found near Awliscombe were not of human origin

Police have identified remains found in a rural area near Honiton.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they had received reports a body had been found near Awliscombe on Saturday.

But following an investigation, they found the bones were not human.

The force thanked the public for their patience while road closures and a cordon had been in place.
