A singer from Surrey and musical duo from Sussex have been picked to play the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury.
ARXX is a punk band from Brighton while Maya Lakhani is a rock artist from Esher.
Both have been played on BBC Introducing Sussex and Surrey and appeared on the show's Live Lounge in recent years.
BBC Introducing presenter Melita Dennett said she was "absolutely thrilled" to have supported both artists.
Melita shared the news on BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey with ARXX and Maya Lakhani that they had been picked by BBC Introducing to appear on its stage at Glastonbury.
Maya, who is from Esher and started making music on her laptop in 2020, responded: "Are you serious?"
She then went on to say: "Glastonbury - that's like my biggest dream... Is this a dream?"
Hanni Pidduck and Clara Townsend, who make up ARXX, said when they first got together they made a list of things they wanted to do as a band.
"Years ago we were sitting in Brighton Electric after our first practice and we [said] we want to do Green Door Store, we want to play at The Hope and Ruin. Oh and we want to play Glastonbury!"
Speaking of both artists, Melita said: "For them to be picked for the BBC Introducing stage for Glastonbury is an accolade and testament to their hard work and dedication as musicians."
ARXX's latest single is Crying in the Carwash while Maya Lakhani released Torn in Two last year.
