David Coe has been found not guilty of attempted murder

A man has been found not guilty of the attempted murder of a police officer.

David Coe, of First Avenue in Canvey Island, Essex, had been accused of attempted murder and non-fatal strangulation.

Mr Coe was found not guilty on 2 July, after a trial at Basildon Crown Court.

A police officer was said to be injured after being called to First Avenue on 4 November 2023, following reports of a disturbance.
