Appeal for young victim of assault to come forward

Police are appealing for a teenage boy they believe was hit by a car, then assaulted, to come forward.

They say the incident happened in Bristol Close, Sittingbourne, Kent, about 21:00 BST on Friday.

It is thought the youth fled the scene after being attacked by the driver of the car which hit him.

A 46-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
