A murder investigation is under way and two people have been arrested following the death of a man in Malvern.
West Mercia Police said the 52-year-old was found unconscious on Belle Vue Terrace at about 12:45 BST on Saturday and died later at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
It said it was called to reports of an altercation and arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and assault.
Part of the town centre has been sealed off by officers and people have been told to avoid the A449 between Queens Drive and Edith Walk.
Det Ch Insp Lee Holehouse said: "This incident will no doubt concern the local community, and we can say that this is an isolated incident, and we have arrested two people who remain in our custody."
He added: "Officers will remain at the scene, and you will see an increased police presence over the next few days as our investigation continues."

Police officers were seen carrying out inquiries in the street
Traffic and pedestrians have been turned away at the top of Church Street and diverted around the scene.
West Mercia Police said: "Please find an alternative route and thank you for your patience at this time."
Police officers, some of them in plain clothes, have been seen in the street carrying out inquiries.

The police have not said how long the cordon will remain up
