Man charged with murder after street stabbing

A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder after a fatal stabbing in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police said a 59-year-old man died at the scene after officers were called to reports of a serious assault in Cinderhill Walk, Bulwell, at about 13:45 BST on Sunday.
A 33-year-old woman also sustained injuries that are not currently believed to be life-threatening, the force added.
Police said Gediminas Cepla, 43, of Quarry Road, Bulwell, would appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court later.

A 30-year-old man, previously arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, was released without charge.
Det Insp Clare Gibson said: "A dedicated team of police officers and investigators have been working since the incident occurred to determine the full circumstances.
"As we announce this charge today, our thoughts remain with both the surviving victim and the family of the deceased.
"I would also like to thank the local community for their patience and support over the last few days which has enabled us to progress the investigation."
