Major route closed in both directions after crash

A serious collision has led to the full closure of the A1 in Nottinghamshire.
National Highways said the crash involved a car and a van.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called at about 09:00 BST alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service crews.
The road has been closed between junction 34 of the A1(M) at the village of Blyth and the A57 at Worksop, in Nottinghamshire.
"Due to the nature of the incident, the road is likely be closed for some time," the highways authority said.
Police are at the scene and diversions are in place in both directions, according to National Highways.
