A "dangerous sexual predator" who raped a "vulnerable" woman in a park in Bradford five months after he had sexually assaulted her in a taxi has been jailed for 12 years.

West Yorkshire Police said Ifzal Hussain, 35, attacked his victim in October after following her into a park on Howarth Road.

The force said he had previously sexually assaulted the same woman in a taxi in May 2024.

Hussain, of Bradford, was sentenced at the city's crown court on Thursday after he was found guilty of rape and sexual assault after a trial.

He was told that on release from prison he would serve an additional five years on licence as well as being placed on the sex offenders register for life.

Det Insp Jodie Hayes said: "Hussain is a dangerous sexual predator who took advantage of a vulnerable women on two occasions.

"His actions have had a significant impact on the victim, who has shown immense courage in coming forward and reporting these crimes to us.

"I hope the sentence gives her comfort in knowing that he has been punished for his actions."
