A teenage boy walked home with a fractured skull after being hit by a car, police have said.

The 15-year-old was injured by a car which had been turning out of Newbridge Hill on to Newbridge Road in Bath at about 21:15 BST on 4 October.

The driver, who was in a red car and described as middle-aged and white, stopped and offered the boy a lift but he refused and walked home.

The teenager went to hospital after telling his family what had happened and is now recovering at home. Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information about the driver and for dashcam footage.
