Residents invited to name new seaside attraction

Residents in a Lincolnshire seaside resort have been invited to have their say on a name for a new beachfront cultural hub.
The first phase of work on the £7.5m redevelopment of the 1950s colonnade structure in Sutton on Sea is expected to be completed by next summer.
East Lindsey District Council said it wanted to have a name in place ready to mark the occasion.
A shortlist has been drawn up from which people can choose their favourite.
The development is part of the government-backed Mablethorpe Towns Fund, which aims to bring new opportunities and transform communities in the area.
The first phase of work includes a restaurant, café, gallery and new beach huts, as well as enhancements to the Pleasure Gardens, with additional seating and a space for "pop-up events".
The shortlist of names to choose from are:
Colonnade
Seaview Colonnade
Pavilion
Sea Front
Tide's Edge Terrace.
Residents have until 30 September to have their say, external on the council's website.
Councillor Martin Foster, the council's champion for the project, said: "It has been fantastic to see such great progress with the Colonnade site in recent months."
He said the development would bring new tourism and income to the region, while providing residents and visitors with a place where they could enjoy views of the coastline.
"I hope lots of people will take the chance to have their say on the name of this important new landmark," he added.
