Two men and two boys have been arrested after a police chase ended with a car crashing into a bus and another vehicle.

The incident happened in Cleckheaton on Thursday after officers indicated for a Volvo XC90 to stop on the exit road of the M62 at Junction 26, Chain Bar, at around 18:20 BST.

West Yorkshire Police said said the vehicle failed to stop and a short pursuit took place before the Volvo was involved in a collision with a bus and a car on Parkside.

The occupants of the vehicle were then said to have left the scene.

Police said four males, aged 16, 17, 18 and 22, were subsequently arrested nearby and taken to hospital to be checked over, before being taken into custody.

All four were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and theft of a motor vehicle.

No other injuries were reported from the incident.
