'Heavy smoke' warning due to wasteland fire

People in a Kent village have been warned about heavy smoke from a fire from wasteland.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service advised residents and visitors in West Hougham, Dover, to keep doors and windows closed on Monday evening.

The blaze started at about 18:00 BST, the fire service said.

Six fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended the scene.
