A gun is believed to have been fired during a disturbance in Stoke-on-Trent, police have said.
Officers were called to Balfour Street, in Hanley, shortly before 20:30 GMT on Tuesday after reports of a man in a group of people with a "long-barrelled weapon".
Two vehicles and a house were damaged in the disturbance, though Staffordshire Police said it was not clear if this was caused by gunshots.
A man inside an address suffered minor injuries, which were believed to have been caused by broken glass.
A cordon has been put in place while forensic officers work at the scene, a police spokesperson confirmed.
