A woman has died when the car she was driving hit a garden wall in West Sussex, police have said.

The car, a white Vauxhall Corsa, was travelling southbound on the A286 Chilgrove Road in Binderton, near West Dean, when it crashed just after 23:15 BST on Sunday.

The 18-year-old driver from Emsworth in Hampshire died at the scene.

Sussex Police is appealing for any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.

The woman's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, the force added.
