Rylan: 'I prefer when live performances go wrong'

TV presenter Rylan Clark has said he prefers it when things go wrong during high pressure live performances.
The 35-year-old, who has hosted ITV's This Morning and BBC Radio 2's Rylan on Saturday, claimed he thrived in adverse conditions.
It came as Clark revealed he was "running on excitement" ahead of headlining a pantomime in Southend-on-Sea in his home county of Essex in December.
"We might have to build an extra bit at the theatre just to let my lot in," he said, referencing the demand for tickets among his family.
He said after 12 years of appearing on live television, he was ready for any chaos the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime could throw at him.
"I like it when things go wrong, that's where I think I'm at my best," Clark told BBC Essex.
His headline act would see him supply Jack with the magical beans he needed to defeat the story's antagonist at Cliffs Pavilion, external.
"It’s that time of year when everyone wants to have a nice time, with Christmas around the corner," Clark said.
"Watching it last year, it just reminded me how much panto is just as much for the adults as it is for the kids."
'Nodding along'
The TV personality, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2012, said he would be filming in Delhi, India, ahead of the performances.
However, he would be able to fly back home just in time for the festive schedule.
Clark said being back in Essex would feel like a breeze compared to travelling the globe.
"The way I look at it, I can sleep in my own bed and I'm in Essex - so technically in my head that means time off," he said.
"I'm just nodding along and running on excitement."
