A defibrillator in Devon has been upgraded to enable it to be used on children.
Buckfastleigh Town Council said the defibrillator at Duckspond, near the Rangers Football Club, is now also available in different languages.
A spokesperson for the council said the £660 upgrade was paid for through its annual defibrillator budget.
It said this life-saving equipment, which was installed in 2019, was the first of its four to be upgraded.
A spokesperson said town and parish councils did not have a statutory duty to provide community defibrillators, but it planned to upgrade its other three units "as and when required as they all have an expiry date".
