Police have arrested two men in connection with an attack on three people in Rutland.

Officers were called to Oakham's town centre in the early hours of Thursday where two men aged 19 and 21, and a 30-year-old woman, had been assaulted.

The 19-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing, the force said.

On Thursday, officers arrested two men aged 21 and 22, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Both men have been released on bail, a police spokesman said.

A cordon in Melton Road and High Street in the town centre on Thursday was lifted later that day.
