A van driver has been arrested after five people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on the A68 in the Borders.
The accident, involving a black Volskwagen Sharan and a red Ford Transit, happened near to Camptown, south of Jedburgh, at about 16:20 on Sunday.
A 14-year-old boy who was a front seat passenger in the car was seriously hurt.
Police said the 47-year-old female driver and two other children - a boy aged 11 and a 10-year-old girl - were also taken to hospital.
The 47-year-old man driving the van was taken to the Borders General and has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.
Officers said the road in the area was shut for about four hours and have appealed for information.
Sgt Lee Walkingshaw said: "Our inquiries into this incident are ongoing and we urge anyone with information or dash cam footage to get in touch.
"We would also be keen to speak to two unidentified people who stopped to give assistance at the scene but left prior to police arriving."
