Dangerous rapist jailed after tricking his victims

A rapist has been jailed after he preyed on two women and tricked them to gain their confidence.
Ansaf Saeedy, of Alfreton Road, Nottingham, was given a nine-year prison sentence after being convicted of two counts of rape.
He was found guilty after a trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
After his conviction, Det Con Rhiannon Drew, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Saeedy has shown absolutely no remorse for what he did."
Saeedy, 21, described in court as an opportunist, approached his first victim in Nottingham city centre during the early hours of 26 May 2021.
He was riding a scooter at the time and invited the woman to a party.
Saeedy then plied her with alcohol and raped her in a flat, the force said.
The second victim agreed to meet Saeedy and go for some food on 27 August 2022. He then tricked his way into her flat and raped her.
'Dangerous and opportunistic'
Saeedy was convicted of two counts of rape at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday. He was sentenced to four and a half years in prison on each count consecutively, meaning a total of nine years in prison.
Det Con Drew, of Nottinghamshire Police, added: "Saeedy has shown absolutely no remorse for what he did and continued to deny the offences even when presented with incontrovertible evidence of his guilt.
"He will now spend a very considerable amount of time in jail after the judge agreed with us that he is a dangerous, opportunistic offender who preyed on women."
