Murder arrest made after stabbing report

A murder investigation has been launched over the death of a man in his 50s.

Police were called to Chesterton Road in north Cambridge at about 01:00 GMT after receiving reports of a stabbing.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Det Insp Mark Butler said: "I understand this is likely to be concerning to the local community, but we believe it to be an isolated incident and we have extra patrols in the area."

The man was pronounced dead at 01:18, Cambridgeshire Police said.

The force urged anyone who might have more information to come forward and help with inquiries.
