Arrests after police officer hurt in brick attack

Three teenagers have been arrested after a police officer was seriously injured by a brick thrown at the window of an unmarked car in Leeds.

The incident happened on Monday night when a brick was thrown at the vehicle on Coronation Parade, in the Halton Moor area of the city, West Yorkshire Police said.

A female officer who was in the car was treated in hospital for serious facial injuries, the force said.

The boys, aged 15, 16 and 17, were detained on suspicion of wounding with intent and criminal damage.
