A man has been arrested after a stabbing in a car park in Plymouth, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to the car park on Regent Street at about 05:20 GMT.

A man in his 40s was hurt but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, officers said.

Police said a 44-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The suspect and the victim were believed to be known to each other, according to police.
