Pedestrian hit by car left seriously injured

A pedestrian was left seriously injured after being hit by a car in Hull, police have said.

The incident took place on Spring Bank near the junction with Freehold Way at about 19:00 BST on Wednesday.

A red Jaguar struck the 64-year-old man who was taken to hospital "for treatment to what is thought to be a serious head injury", Humberside Police said.

The force asked for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw the car before it, to get in touch.
